Weekend report.

Friday AM storm blew through.  Wind shifted from SE to W.    Short Blitz

at Georgica.  Nothing for me at Atlantic or Napeague.

Friday PM winds calmed and there was steady action along Maidstone ,

Main Beach, and Georgica.   No blitzes but quiet bite - all sand eels-

diamond jig/green tube, slow retrieve, bass in very close.  Short cast works best. Very soft pick ups by the fish.  Sometimes can't even feel the hit.

This bite held up all day Saturday with shorts and many keepers taken, in the teens.

Continued Sunday morning.

Need patience and slow retrieve.  Many expect blitz but fish are spread out, not in one spot.  So they see the bent rods,  cast a few times and leave.  I stayed in one spot and  caught 14 on Friday,  10 on Saturday (1 -  17lber), and 10 on Sunday morning including 2 keepers.

Find little outflows and cuts.  Fish are waiting.

I learned a lot about sand eels, bass and reading the beach.  Great weekend.  Unusual fall run.  Very different fishing.

Jon

**A GREAT  HOLIDAY STOCKING STUFFER**

Richard Prince Does It Again!!  Montauk The Bowman weaves another tale of mysterious murders that shake the peaceful village of Montauk.  Master   Hunter and Surfcaster, Justin Cassar's photo is on the front cover.  Once again, from the cliffs to the beaches, to the woods and to the ocean, Richard Prince has put together a mystery thriller almost beyond one's imagination.

**A GREAT  HOLIDAY STOCKING STUFFER**                           Who would have thought that an unthinkable sense of impending doom is lurking in the peaceful, beautiful fishing paradise of Montauk? When several people disappear without a clue during the exciting fishing season the hamlet becomes a serial target. Shark hunters, surfcasters, a Captain and his lady mate, a Lieutenant and his assistant and two charlatan brothers are among the characters who give the reader bait and lures in this compelling, puzzling mystery thriller. It's one thing to catch an elusive fish; it's quite another to catch an invisible killer, Click on to the cover for addition information about “MONTAUK” by Richard Prince”
